D&AD & Secret 7

This graphic was initially designed for a 6-inch vinyl cover of the Scissor Sisters’ hit single "The Return to Oz." It draws significant inspiration both The Wizard of Oz and the Wicked franchise, utilizing a vibrant chromatomic color palette to capture the mood and rhythm the soundtrack. My intention was to create an abstract visual style that aligned with my interpretation of the music on the vinyl. Employing my skills in Adobe Illustrator, I crafted the soundwave vector graphics while Adobe Photoshop was used to enhance the color aesthetics of the final graphic on vinyl sleeve.
